Terms & conditions

Plain English, and short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask me before you book.

  1. Who you are dealing with

    Tyler Learning is the practice of Jill Tyler, a qualified dyslexia assessor and specialist teacher working in Trafford and online. You are dealing with one person throughout — assessment, report and teaching.

  2. Booking and payment

    Fees are agreed in writing before any work begins. Assessments are invoiced on the day of the appointment; tuition is invoiced half-termly in advance. Schools are invoiced on thirty-day terms.

  3. Cancellations

    Please give at least forty-eight hours’ notice to move an appointment. Inside forty-eight hours, half the fee is payable — although if your child is unwell, we will simply rearrange.

  4. Reports

    Assessment reports are usually issued within two weeks of the appointment. The report belongs to you; you decide whether school sees it, and I will not send it anywhere without your written consent.

  5. Your data

    Assessment records are kept securely for six years, as professional guidance requires, and are never shared with anyone other than you unless you ask me to.

  6. Safeguarding

    I hold an enhanced DBS certificate. If I have a serious concern about a child’s welfare I have a duty to pass it on, and wherever possible I will tell you first.
