The whole journey

Eight stages, and you can stop after any of them. Most families are through the whole thing in five or six weeks.

A form, an email, or a phone message — a sentence is plenty. I reply myself; nobody else reads it.

A free call
Fifteen minutes on the phone. You tell me what you have noticed, and I tell you honestly whether a full assessment is the right next step.

Booking and consent
We agree a date. The fee is confirmed in writing before anything is booked, and you sign a short consent form.
Background first
A questionnaire for you and a short one for school. Context matters more than any single score.
The week before
Assessment day
Around three hours at a table, in activities rather than tests, with breaks and a snack whenever your child needs one. No pass, no fail.

Scoring and analysis
I score and interpret everything myself, alongside what you and school told me. Nothing is decided on one number.
We talk before you read
I ring you and walk through what I found, in plain English, so the report holds no surprises.
Within a few days
The report, and what next
A full SASC-standard report you can take to school, with recommendations for the classroom and for exam access arrangements. Then we decide together what — if anything — comes next: a meeting with the SENCO, tuition, or simply a review next term.
